This piece was written for Mivos Quartet as part of Richard Carrick's Graphic Series of pieces, 2018-19. Says Carrick, "The Graphic Series is an ongoing set of colored graphic scores for creative musicians. Individual scores are designed for solos, duos, trios, quartets or large ensembles, instrumentation is often open, and different interpretative approaches are encouraged to suit groups of musicians who enjoy performing together."

For this version of the Richard Carrick's Graphic Series #26, Mivos was in quarantine across 3 states in the US. Each quartet member took a turn recording their "lead" interpretation of 1 of the 5 lines of the graphic score. The other 3 members would then "react" to the lead interpreter & record their part for each line. In this way each member had a chance to lead the interpretation and also react to another member's interpretative choices.
